Frequently Asked Questions - TATTOOS
What types of tattoos will you do?
I am a beginner artist and I'd like to keep things on a small scale for now. I only do fine line style and I am willing to do the basic linework or script in color but I'm not doing full color tattoos. I'm excited to learn and practice new things but I also ask that you respect my decision if I let you know that your idea is above my skill set and would be a better fit with a different artist.
What's the process for booking tattoos?
I ask that you reach out to me with your ideas and give me time to send you drawings back. We can tweak them until hopefully both of us are comfortable with the design. Then I'll give you an estimate of how much time we will need and you can select an appointment on the booking page of this website.
How does an appointment typically go?
When you arrive I will have you fill out paperwork and then we will print and size your stencil. We'll put the stencil on as many times as needed to make sure you're happy with the placement. Then we'll get you in the best position, which may be a trial and error process to make sure your artist can effectively perform the tattoo. Bring whatever you need to stay relaxed and comfortable during the tattoo process, this should be a fun day for you! After your tattoo is finished your artist will cover it with a protective second skin and go over the aftercare with you.

Frequently Asked Questions - PMU
With your makeup already there, you'll have more time and money to spend on the things you want- time with you family, leisure activities and that much deserved beauty sleep. Plus it won't wash, rub or sweat off during the day like most regular cosmetics!
Permanent makeup is not necessarily intended to replace cosmetics completely. Because the color is placed "in" your skin and not "on" your skin a natural, softer look will result.
When you're ready to kick your heels and go out for a night-in-the-town or want to mix it up, you can apply as much additional makeup as you wish.
What is it exactly?
Permanent makeup is cosmetic tattooing... implanting color in your skin with a specialized configuration of needles.
This is a cosmetically invasive procedure that requires skill, experience and cooperation with your permanent makeup professional.

I keep hearing the word microblading, isn't it just permanent brows?
Specifically, it's a manual method of tattooing eyebrows, meaning no machine.
Microblading may be the most common word used for brow cosmetic tattooing, HOWEVER, microblading is not for everyone. It is not an option for several skin types, and your technician will help you choose the best option for YOU.
What typically happens during an appointment?
When you arrive, we will have paperwork for you to complete.
We will then take our time to consult and discuss paperwork, what you want, your best options etc. while you get nice and numb with the help of a topical anesthetic.
Before we start putting pigment in your skin we will map out a shape that works for your face, what we're working with as far as natural brow, and the look you are hoping to achieve.
This "map" will guide us for the procedure, so rest assured you do get to see an idea of what it will look like before we begin.
And then all that's left is permanent makeup application time... and actual tattoo time is generally pretty quick.
Secondary anesthetics applied throughout your procedure will help you stay comfortable.
How long will it take to recover?
Honestly, it depends on you and your skin. Some will be red and puffy for a day or two, and some can take a lunch hour appointment and none would be the wiser that something was done. For eyeliner procedures, You can expect to look like you've had a good cry for several hours following your procedure - swollen and puffy. Eyebrow procedures have the least swelling.
Swelling and redness aside, you can expect all of these treatments to have what we call " a rollercoaster of healing". You will likely have a few days of darker color than wanted, followed by dry flaky skin for several days to a week. Typically, the healing process is not bad at all, and you should have no problems being seen in public or living your life as you normally do.
How long can I expect it to last?
Permanent Makeup lasts a lot longer than traditional makeup, but it will not show forever. The visible pigment will fade over time. As you become accustomed to your new makeup it's not uncommon to want more, as you now have a "new normal".
You typically can expect to freshen up your new makeup periodically.
Natural, delicate colors are oftentimes more vulnerable to the effects of sun, swimming, and breakdown by the body's natural responses.
Because there are so many factors involved in the rate of fade, we do not predict what your permanent makeup lifespan will be....could be 10 months, could be 10 years. Microblading tends to have a shorter lifespan than the powder brow application.
